“The Tears Are Real I’m Crying” was showcased at the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art in Las Vegas, NV, as part of their fall exhibition series, running from September 1, 2023 to March 16, 2024. The piece is a ten-foot-tall pair of crying eyes crafted from LEDs. It delves back into my exploration of rituals within the experience economy, specifically examining how grief intersects with digitality and spectacle.
